Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store is well-organized, stocked, and provides an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, cashiering, cleaning, and collaborating with the team to maintain store standards.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as required for the role.
  • Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain displays neatly.
  • Provide top-notch customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
  • Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management.
  • Conduct store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Follow cash policies to minimize losses and adhere to company procedures.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older to work at ALDI.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain store standards.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and procedures accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Stay organized, detail-oriented, and multitask effectively.
  • Meet state and local requirements for selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior work experience in retail is a plus.
  • Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
