Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Your exceptional customer service skills and collaborative nature will contribute to creating an excellent shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Offer feedback on product quality, inventory, and other store-related issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to prevent discrepancies.
• Follow company policies, maintain security and confidentiality standards.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of cash register and store equipment.
• Capable of general cleaning tasks as per company standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Adept at working independently and within a team environment.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task effectively.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience is a plus.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
