Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and ensuring a clean and organized store environment. Your role will directly impact the customer shopping experience by providing exceptional service and collaborating effectively with the team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Conduct store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash handling procedures to minimize losses.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain document security.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register.
• Safe handling of equipment and compliance with procedures.
• Execute general cleaning tasks to company standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Meet local requirements for alcohol sales.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior retail experience (preferred).
