Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a crucial member of the store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to ensure an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. Your role will involve collaborating with the ALDI team, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting in various tasks to support store operations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their shopping experience.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
• Capability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to company standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Compliance with state and local regulations for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is advantageous.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
