Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. This full-time position involves various responsibilities such as merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment. As a vital member of the Aldi team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills as outlined for the role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Communicate effectively with team members and report to store management.
• Contribute feedback on inventory, product quality, and operational issues.
• Participate in store inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash policies to ensure minimal losses and adhere to company procedures.
• Comply with company policies to maintain document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to be employed at ALDI.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
• Perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, and multitask efficiently.
• Meet all state and local requirements for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
