Staff Nurse II/III

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Staff Nurse II/III to join The University of Vermont Medical Center's Addiction Treatment Center. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing professional nursing care to patients with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient vitals, coordinating medication management, and providing patient education and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patients in their treatment process.
• Coordinate care and assist patients in transitioning to lower levels of care.
• Assess patient vitals, manage medications, and provide education and support to patients.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or enrolled in a Bachelor's program with 5 years to complete.
• Three years of relevant RN experience with demonstrated competencies in a clinical area.
• Experience working in the field of substance use disorders preferred.
