Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join The University of Vermont Health Network's Emergency Room team. As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will be responsible for managing patient care by utilizing the nursing process to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room setting.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Ensure adherence to established protocols and high-quality standards of nursing practice.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Professional Nurse license in NYS.
• Ability to pass Critical Care exam within one month of employment or possess a current CEN certificate.
• Minimum one year of past medical/surgical experience as an RN.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on patient volume.
• Experience in ambulatory care or physician office practice preferred.
