Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit. As an RN, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients throughout their perioperative experience, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery. This role involves patient monitoring, complication prevention, pain management, and patient/family education. The Perioperative Services Float RN will rotate between Operating Room Circulating Nurse, Pre/Post Nurse, or Endoscopy Nurse roles to provide diverse and dynamic care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Minimum two years med/surg nursing experience required. Critical Care experience preferred.
• ACLS required – PALS within 12 months.
• Competent in IV therapy and venipuncture.

• Previous Periop Services experience preferred.
