Patient Care Tech / PCT Med Surg

Job Description

We are currently looking for a full-time Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our Medical Surgical team at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing in Cushing, OK. As a PCT, you will play a crucial role in assisting with daily living activities, providing patient care, and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as delivering meals, turning, and ambulating patients.
• Help patients with personal hygiene, including providing bedpans, baths, and showers.
• Provide adjunct care, administer ice packs, dressings, and therapeutic baths.
• Check vital signs and maintain patient records accurately.
• Support nurses and staff as required, adhering to professional standards and following policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Competency in at least two general areas of practice.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred qualifications include 2 years of acute or long-term care experience, completion of CNA, PCT, or EMT-P certification, or current enrollment in nursing school.
