Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of the physical structure of our hotel, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform minor and routine maintenance activities such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Replace air-conditioner filters and oversee the heating and cooling systems.
- Maintain records on equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Train hotel maintenance staff and uphold quality standards in guest rooms.
- Keep a well-stocked inventory of supplies and materials needed for maintenance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certification required.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or extensive experience in a hotel or related field.
- 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Physical Requirements
The role requires standing for long hours, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and move objects. Specific vision abilities and English language proficiency are necessary for the position.
