Infection Control Nurse -- LPN/LVN

Job Description

Genesis HealthCare is looking for a dedicated Infection Control Nurse -- LPN/LVN to join our clinical team. This position involves managing the Infection Prevention and Control Program for one or multiple centers under the guidance of an RN. As an Infection Control Nurse, you will act as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator for all staff, focusing on various areas such as Infection Prevention-Control Activities, Outbreak Management, and Employee Health.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Identify, investigate, analyze, and control infections within the facilities.
• Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention best practices.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to enhance infection control processes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current LPN/LVN licensure.
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control.
• Minimum of three years of full-time nursing experience.
• Previous experience in long-term care nursing preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and nights.
