Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo comprehensive training to prepare you for managing store operations effectively. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily store activities, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing needs, and implementing operational strategies. You will play a vital role in developing and mentoring the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily store operations to provide top-tier customer service.
• Communicate and uphold company values to foster teamwork and employee engagement.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness standards.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of store staff.
• Develop and adjust weekly schedules for adequate staffing levels.
• Set job expectations and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
• Manage payroll, total loss budgets, and cash audits.
• Monitor market competition and make recommendations to stay competitive.
• Ensure a safe store environment and proper merchandising.
• Perform inventory control and reconciliations.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while ensuring data confidentiality.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying company policies.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Previous retail experience, preferably in a management role.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 3+ years of progressive retail experience.
• Prior management experience is a plus.
