Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate to join the ALDI team. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by merchandising products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness. Working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive shopping environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills as outlined for the role.
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays neatly.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members, communicate clearly with store management, and provide feedback on products and inventory.
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures, uphold company policies, and ensure security and confidentiality.
- Participate in store inventory counts, monitor inventory accuracy, and perform other assigned duties.
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise, lift and carry items up to 45 pounds, and perform various physical tasks.
- Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk in the store environment.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficiently operate a cash register and store equipment.
- Perform general cleaning duties and follow company policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and attention to detail.
- Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior work experience in a retail environment is a plus.
