Job Description

We are looking for a Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join Aldi's team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day store activities, enhancing overall store performance, managing schedules, and identifying training opportunities to develop the team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement action plans to improve operating results.
  • Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports.
  • Identify training opportunities for team development.
  • Communicate company strategy and values to create a sense of teamwork.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Provide product feedback and recommendations.
  • Participate in the interviewing process for store personnel.
  • Ensure inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies are followed.
  • Resolve operational customer concerns.
  • Maintain store cleanliness standards and proper stock levels.
  • Merchandise products to maximize sales and ensure product quality.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Ensure high-level customer service and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Prior retail experience, with management experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Operate a cash register and store equipment.
  • Stay organized, multitask, and pay attention to detail.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive retail experience.
  • Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • Prior management experience is a plus.
