Float Staff Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Float Staff Nurse to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. As a vital member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing expert, evidence-based nursing care to a complex patient population. The role involves delivering compassionate and comprehensive patient education, psychosocial support, and exceptional clinical care while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs and develop clinically accurate diagnoses.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans with measurable outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and efficiently.
• Document care according to regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment options.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy standards.
• Contribute to unit, divisional, and institute-wide goals and initiatives.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience; ambulatory or oncology experience a plus.
• Professional nursing certification preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS accepted.
