Director Toxicology

Job Description

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly qualified Director of Toxicology to join our global team dedicated to transforming the lives of patients with serious diseases. The Director will be responsible for managing nonclinical regulatory toxicology for our portfolio products and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the global nonclinical regulatory strategy of Jazz programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and manage direct reports in toxicology.
• Design and monitor toxicology studies, interpret findings, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Represent Toxicology in cross-functional teams, address potential issues, and propose de-risking strategies.
• Prepare regulatory submissions, responses, and provide expertise in early development activities.
• Collaborate with key internal functions and maintain a current understanding of relevant literature.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Biochemistry or Biology.
• 8-10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in drug development toxicology.
• Experience in outsourcing toxicology studies, authoring regulatory submissions, and interacting with health authorities.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, EMA, and ICH guidance documents and GLP regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
