Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will work closely with the Chef to prepare and cook meals, maintain quality and portion control, and ensure the kitchen is clean and organized. In the absence of the Chef, you will take charge of running the kitchen smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the Chef.
• Maintain food quality, quantity, and portion control to uphold standards.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness, safety, and security at all times.
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to enhance guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; hotel operations experience preferred.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.

Physical Demands

This role requires standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and other physical activities.

Work Environment

Must be able to effectively communicate, adapt to changes, and work well with others.
