Job Description
As an Associate Buyer at ALDI, you will be an essential part of our National Buying team, dedicated to acquiring quality products at competitive prices. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, focusing on merchandising, pricing, and sustainable sourcing practices. This role offers the opportunity to manage product life cycles, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the growth and success of our buying operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the Buying Director in overseeing product life cycles.
- Organize and manage product samples from suppliers.
- Provide market knowledge insights and recommendations.
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and coordinate information flow.
- Resolve problems with vendors and product issues effectively.
- Utilize computer applications for database management and reporting.
- Act as a key liaison between internal and external parties.
- Provide training to new staff and contribute to teamwork.
- Recommend improvements in procedures and seek further training as required.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties to support operations.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Business or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
