Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans to ensure the overall store performance meets our standards. You will play a key role in leading and growing the team by identifying training opportunities and maintaining high-quality customer service at all times.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve store performance.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
  • Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain our position.
  • Participate in the interviewing process for new store personnel.
  • Ensure inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies are followed.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the team and provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures to uphold security and confidentiality standards.

Job Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in a retail environment, preferably in a management role.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience, with prior management experience preferred.
