Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will assist with supervising day-to-day store activities, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans to ensure the overall store performance meets our standards. You will play a key role in leading and growing the team by identifying training opportunities and maintaining high-quality customer service at all times.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve store performance.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Monitor the competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain our position.
- Participate in the interviewing process for new store personnel.
- Ensure inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies are followed.
- Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the team and provide the highest level of customer service.
- Comply with company policies and procedures to uphold security and confidentiality standards.
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in a retail environment, preferably in a management role.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail experience, with prior management experience preferred.
