Job Description
We are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the hotel's efficiency, guest satisfaction, and employee performance. This role involves assigning duties, providing training, handling guest feedback, resolving complaints, conducting staff evaluations, and maintaining operational records. The Assistant General Manager will also assist in business planning, financial management, and property maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in daily operations and staff management.
- Ensure adherence to hotel policies and industry standards.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery processes.
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating hotel staff.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor hotel performance metrics.
- Collaborate with departments for effective communication and event coordination.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to hotel team members.
- Conduct property inspections and ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Assist in wage scale surveys, financial accounting, and business planning.
- Available for emergencies and to oversee hotel operations 24/7.
Requirements
- University degree or diploma in hotel management or related field.
- 5-10 years of hospitality industry experience with luxury and international exposure.
- 3-4 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager or Executive Assistant Manager.
- Strong management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, nights, and respond to emergencies.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Fluency in English for written and verbal communication.
