Job Description
We are looking for a 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. Our warehouse operations are crucial in ensuring that products are received, selected, and delivered to our stores efficiently. As a part-time employee, you will work fewer than 30 hours per week in both ambient and temperature-controlled areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock to fulfill store orders.
- Relocate merchandise following product handling guidelines.
- Sort, organize, load, and unload merchandise for shipment.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
- Participate in inventory counts and communicate effectively with the team.
- Provide input to improve warehouse processes.
- Inspect products and report quality or safety issues to management.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve warehouse goals.
- Perform assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Operate equipment following safety guidelines.
Job Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must be 18 years or older and demonstrate ALDI Acts competencies including conscientiousness, collaboration, positive attitude, resilience, and drive for success. The role requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience
Preferred candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic arithmetic skills, good communication skills, and the ability to interpret company policies and procedures are essential.
Physical Requirements
This position involves frequent lifting of up to 45 pounds, moving merchandise, standing, bending, reaching, and operating powered industrial equipment in varying temperatures.
