1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Full-Time 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join our team at Aldi. As a Warehouse Package Handler, you will play a crucial role in efficiently handling stock, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining warehouse standards. This position offers competitive starting wages ranging from $18.50 to $24.50 per hour based on shift differentials.

Responsibilities

• Select and receive incoming stock to fulfill store orders efficiently.
• Relocate merchandise in accordance with warehouse guidelines.
• Sort, organize, and load merchandise for shipment and unload incoming shipments.
• Participate in warehouse inventory counts and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Communicate effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
• Provide input for process improvements and assist in meeting budgeted goals.
• Inspect product quality, safety, and sanitation compliance.
• Operate equipment safely and adhere to ergonomic and safety guidelines.
• Perform tasks accurately and efficiently within company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrate conscientiousness, collaboration, positive attitude, resilience, and drive for success.
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and handle products weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move merchandise throughout the warehouse and prepare for delivery.
• Varying physical activities in different temperature environments.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment.
