Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As the Care Team Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in managing patient care, providing education to families, conducting direct care, and offering triage services under the supervision of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in infection control and age-appropriate care for pediatric patients.
• Assess the physical, emotional, and socio-economic needs of clients and families.
• Provide urgent triage care in the office and via telephone.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care using EMR.
• Facilitate communication among patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures efficiently.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization care and prevent complications.
• Pursue pediatric-centered continuing education and training.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures.
• Meet the physical demands of the position.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team.
Ability to handle sensitive medical information and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Proficiency in EMR, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN or LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and fulfill Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
• Adhere to American Nursing Association Standards of Practice.
