Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc. As a Care Team Nurse, you will be the clinical leader responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of operations, managing high-risk patients, providing education to patients and families, offering direct care and laboratory services, and handling telephone and direct triage under the supervision of the Pediatrician, Nurse Practitioner, and Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate infection control practices and age-appropriate care of pediatric patients
• Assess the needs of clients and families, providing referrals when necessary
• Provide urgent triage care, both in-office and over the phone
• Accurately document nursing care using EMR
• Facilitate communication among patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures efficiently
• Coordinate post-hospitalization follow-ups to prevent readmissions
• Maintain continuous pediatric-centered education and training
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and email
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Licensed to practice nursing in Massachusetts as an LPN or RN
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Continuing Educational Units (CEUs)
• Adherence to American Nursing Association Standards of Practice
