Athletic Trainer

Job Description

Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services at sporting events, community events, and in the clinic through the Sports Medicine Program. The role involves assessing athletes, monitoring progress, documenting patient response to treatment, and participating in multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Additionally, the Athletic Trainer will provide physical therapy care to various populations under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, while also engaging with patients, staff, physicians, and the community in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Current Athletic Training license by the State of Tennessee Division of Health Related Boards.
• CPR Certification.
• Membership in a professional association recommended.
• Knowledge of growth and development, injury assessment, and human behavior.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and performance assessment skills.
• Ability to apply general rules to specific problems and draw conclusions.
